Stir Crazy

Today I has two articles to discuss!

The first one makes my heart purr. A Kitten to Help Her Cope is one of the articles I has to share. Little 9 year old human-kitten Shannon was abducted a little less than one month ago. She was just found this past week! Shannon has to be questioned so that the please-men can find out what happened to her during the time she was missing and who is to blame. To keep Shannon's nerves calm, she has been given a kitten to play with while she is interviewed. Us kittens really do take on big responsibilities sometimes, but we are always happy to do it.

Here I am in my carrier reminding Mommie of her responsibility to take me out!

See Mommie, I has been a good boy and has done my homework. I read the chapter on How to Walk on a Leash and Pretend Your Human is in Charge! I really did read every word!

Staying in the house is making me go crazy!

See don't I look a little crazy?

Pwease let me go out wif you to the store!! Pweeeeasssee! I is a very good boy. I is also very cute! Can you resist....

The next story I has to share is called, On the Trail of the Cat, Scientists Find Surprises. I find it very amusing that these beans think they can figure us cats out. They is smart for sure, but we will never give up all our secrets!

In one of the most comprehensive explorations of cats' origins to date, Lyons and her colleagues spent about five years collecting feline DNA, poking behind the whiskers of more than 1,100 Persians, Siamese, street cats and household tabbies around the world to swab inside their mouths.

By analyzing 39 genetic signposts in the samples, the researchers were able to investigate a variety of questions, including which breeds are most closely related and where they most likely originated.

Funny beans thinking they can figure us out! We are much too complex!

Until tomorrow,

Cecil

I am so excited to hear that cats are being used to help people! Maybe then people will learn to help more cats and treat us with the respect we are due.

That's a very thoughtful thing they did to let the girl have a kitten to help her feel good and calm. I'll bet the kitten helped her a lot, too!

I hopes you get to go Outside soon, Cecil.

You likes to go out? So do I! Now I'm trying to eat and eat a lot everyday so I can grow big enough to fit into the harness. And then, YAY! It's OUTING time!

Thank you for the happy story. Kitties always calm me and make me happy too. :) You look so cute waiting to go out. Do you go out in a harness like Daisy? That would be fun to get some fresh air. I hope it's nice and sunny for you. Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Hugs and Purrs,

Janice: How can they figure us out when we have been here thousands of years BC? Unless those human-kitties know how to time travel..hehe

Jayson: Hey Sis! How do you know all that? We were born on January 4th this year??!!

Janice: Shhh... keep it down Jay! The humans don't know that :P

Interesting articles, Cecil! You like being on a leash? Our human lets us climb trees.
