Hi everycat!

As you know, I will be making my Thursday 13 tomorrow, and I is very very excited! A special guest will also be making a Thursday 13 on my bloggie tomorrow... I cannot tell you who it is just yet!

I wanted to make this special post because Mommie has been feeling a little bit sad this past week. See this Saturday, May 3rd, would be Leo the Lion's 10th purrthday. I fink many of you know that Leo is the Great Kitty who Came Before Me. She was looking through some old pictures last night and also came across Leo's story that she wrote so that she would never, ever forget.

Leo had Chronic Renal Failure. Everyone who is signed up for the Mewsletter will be able to read all about this common disease in the issue that comes out at Midnight tonight.

But Mommie wants to post Leo's story. She wonders if anyone else has dealt with a kitty who has CRF and what kind of treatments they were/are on. If you have time, you can read Leo's story here. Mommie finally feels ready to talk about it, but she doesn't know anyone else who has experienced this before. She figured the blogosphere was the best place to find someone to talk to.

Fanks,

Cecil

Thank You!

Hi Everycat and their Mommies!

Fanks so much for all of your kind words! Mommie and I feel so incredibly blessed to know all of you, and yes we really do feel like we know each of you. Fanks to all of my best friends in the CB and fanks to all of my friends who came out from lurking to e-mail me and Mommie.

Mommie had to take some time to decide what she was going to do. She really never ever ever wanted to stop helping me blog, and she didn't know how she would stop reading your blogs!

So we will continue being a part of your world!!! Fanks to everyone soooo much for helping me change Mommie's mind! All day yesterday when she looked at me she saw all of your faces. What did everyone do for Fashion Friday or Formally Feral Friday? We was very sad not to know.

So this is what we has decided for now: we will blog every week for Thursday Thirteen and will tell 13 things I has done during the week! We will also make a effort to visit all of your blogs as often as possible, without certain people noticing ;)

Kisses, kisses...

And many more kisses, purrs, and headbutts to all of you!

I gave Mommie the laser eyes for thinking she could stop me from blogging!

I fink you can see that my face is not happy at all at Mommie's behavior.

Don't forget about me on Thursdays,

Cecil the Cougar

Goodbye.

Hi Everyone,

This is my last post.

I am really sorry to leave the cat blogosphere behind. I have been truly inspired by your generosity towards each other, and I feel blessed to have been a part of this for the past couple months.

I have enjoyed reading all of your posts and will miss blogging tremendously. It has been a very fun past couple of months. I feel like I know all of you and your "mommies." The internet has a great ability to bring people with common interests together. Sometimes I feel like I have more in common with each of you, then some of the people in my real life... it's so true that only other cat-people can understand each other.

I will still be running Feline Direct and still sending out the Mewsletter. Unfortunately the personality of Cecil the Cougar is going away. There are people in my life who do not understand this hobby... I am not sure how I will go about continuing Phi Theta Gatos. I will have to speak to Crystal (Moki's mom regarding it). I will not let it disappear, but it may have to undergo some changes.

I will miss you all and be constantly wondering how you are doing.

So here is my tearful goodbye,

Kristina (Cecil's human mom)

If you need to get in touch with me regarding Feline Direct or Phi Theta Gatos please feel free to email me at kristina@felinedirect.com .

PS: A special thank you to Daisy the Curly Cat and her Mommie for introducing me to all of you. It has been a sincere pleasure.

Circle, Circle
Dot, Dot
Now you have your Cooties shot.

Thankful Thursday: Mommie and Me Time

I am very thankful for having a green blanket and a warm lap.

Can you see that Mommie and my paws are touching!

I am smiling pretty big.

PS: I have asked Mommie if I can get the Cooties vaccine so that I can have a speshul girlcat friend!

Mommy decided she was too tired to make dinner tonight...

So she decided to go get some delishus Chart Hut.

She gotted herself a chick-hen pita.

But....

:::sniff sniff:::

Well, one thing led to another....

::lick lick::

Mine!

The Smell of YUM!

NOM NOM NOM!

Go Away Mommie, I has a fully tummy and wants to take a nap now!

Why Own a Cat?

When it comes to The Cat, there's a danger you know.
You can't own just one, for the craving will grow.
There's no doubt they're addictive, wherein lies the danger
While living with lots, you'll grow poorer and stranger

One cat is no trouble, and two are so funny,
The third one is easy, the fourth one's a honey
The fifth is delightful, the sixth one's a breeze.
You find you can live with a houseful, with ease.

So how 'bout another? Would you really dare?
They're really quite easy, but Oh Lord, the hair!
With cats on the sofa and cats on the bed,
And crates in the kitchen, its no bother, you said.

They're really no trouble, their manners are great.
What's just one more cat and one more crate?
The sofa is hairy, the windows are crusty.
The floor is all footprints, the furniture's dusty.

The housekeeping suffers, but what do you care?
Who minds a few nose prints and a little more hair?
So let's keep a kitten, you can always find room.
And a little more time for the dust cloth and broom.

There's hardly a limit to the cats you can add
The thought of a cutback, sure makes you sad.
Each one is special, so useful, so funny,
The food bill grows larger, you owe the vet money.

Your folks never visit, few friends come to stay,
Except other cat folks, who live the same way.
Your lawn has now died and your shrubs are dead, too.
Your weekends are busy, you're off with your crew.

There's cat food and vitamins, grooming and shots
And litter and toys and more which cost lots.
Is it worth it you wonder? Are you caught in a trap?
Then your favorite comes up and climbs in your lap.

His look says you're special and you know that you will
Keep all of the kittens in spite of the bill.
Late evening is awful, you scream and you shout
At the cats on the sofa, who refuse to get up.

The whole thing seems worth it, the cats are your life.
They're charming and funny and offset the strife.
Your lifestyle has changed, things just won't be the same.
Yes, those cats are addictive and so's the cat game!

New picture post tomorrow.

Sorry guys, Mommie has a rhetorical thesis due at 8am.

She is sort of a procrastinator, so she has to do it all today/tonight.

PS: Mommie stumbled upon this website for Toronto Veterinary care. It looks very promising. If you are looking for a Toronto Veterinarian I think this website will be very helpful. The website will be able to direct you to the proper people at the Toronto Veterinary Hospital and the best Toronto Vets! Have a look!*
